Microsoft NZ brings the Cloud to SMBs

Microsoft New Zealand wanted to encourage more SMBs to make a move to the Cloud, but many SMB operators wouldn’t know where to start, never mind how to do it.

The problem/opportunity

The campaign’s objective was to help generate interest and traffic directed towards Microsoft’s partners throughout New Zealand

The solution

Iron Road worked with Microsoft and our agency partners to develop a content marketing campaign based off a microsite designed to educate, inform and inspire SMBs to make the shift to the Cloud.

In addition to the ‘how to’ educational articles, Iron Road interviewed SMB business owners who had already moved to the Cloud and shared their experiences – their ‘do’s and don’ts’. SMB visitors to the site could also download an eBook that covered the business A – Z of how to shift to the Cloud.

Iron Road arranged to purchase New York Times columns written by Richard Branson and commissioned pieces from local thought leaders like Robyn Pearce. These newsworthy names were was used to attract visitors to the website using channels like OutBrain and social media.
